Junior Scientists

Wide range of entry opportunities

Waterways engineering in Germany involves exciting and complex challenges. We need experts with outstanding scientific expertise. The BAW therefore cooperates closely with colleges and universities in Germany and abroad.

The BAW offers individualised programmes to support junior scientists in their work on papers and theses. Doctoral candidates are offered challenging research projects in the hydraulic, geotechnical and structural engineering disciplines. The BAW regularly recruits student research assistants in each of these fields.

Current vacancies and offers for students and research assistants can be found on our social media channels: Facebook and LinkedIn.
